Serving up food for your customers to enjoy on-the-go? Takeaway food can be tricky to eat, without a table enjoying that slurpy curry, or a juicy burger, or saucy chips can get messy. So, for both practical and hygienic reasons, customers often need disposable napkins to enjoy their food (or cleanup in the aftermath).
Many disposable napkins are made from paper derived from old-growth forests, and after a short useful life of approximately 20 minutes those disposable paper napkins will most likely end up in landfill instead of compost.
Carrying around a cloth is not always practical (we need to think of the environmental impact of of creating the cloth napkin and washing, too) so it's important to provide a more sustainable option.
Our BioNapkins are carbon neutral and made from FSC® certified pulp. They come in a range of styles (cocktail napkins, luncheon napkins, dinner napkins and dispenser napkins for your napkin holder) and colours (black, white, and natural).
Need a napkin dispenser that’s easy to use and limits napkin usage? Our Single Saver BioDispenser allows consumers to retrieve one napkin at a time, providing a reduction in usage of up to 50 percent. Plus, the dispenser design offers the option of inserting a card to feature your brand and message on both sides.
As a paper product, our eco napkins can be composted at home (or in a commercial composting facility). Composting paper napkins reduces greenhouse gases, returns nutrients back to the earth and improves soil quality, and costs less than sending waste to landfill.
They can be easily added to organic waste to be commercially composted if you're providing them in a restaurant or cafe setting. Some local councils don’t (yet) offer compost and organic waste collection but that doesn’t mean your napkins need to go in the bin. We offer our own composting service – find out if we offer compost collection in your local area. With the BioPak Compost Service, you can effortlessly divert all your foodscraps and compostable packaging from landfill with just the one bin!
